How to Ride Regular Buses in Okinawa

a regular bus1. Check the number of the bus that you wish to take (front top-left).
taking a ticket from the machine2. When getting on the bus, take a ticket from the machine.
cash machine3. If you need change, insert your ¥1,000 bill or ¥500 coin in the cash machine (except the new ¥500 coin).
pushing the button on the side4. When you wish to get off, push the button on the side.
front board5. To know what amount to pay, check the front board. The number on your ticket corresponds to an amount on the board.
inserting the ticket and amount in the machine6. To pay your fare, insert the ticket and amount in the machine.

How to Ride Naha City Buses

The system is almost the same than for regular buses except that there is no ticket system. Fare is paid when entering the bus. Also, don't forget to exit the bus through the back door.

the machine7. You can pay with coins or bills. The machine gives exact change.
