The 32nd Motobu Mt. Yae Cherry Blossom Festival

January 16-February 14, 2010　Japans earliest cherry blossom festival.

Motobu Town, located on the Motobu Peninsula in the northern region of mainland Okinawa, is where this cherry blossom festival is held every year, as nearly 7,000 Taiwan cherries come in full bloom in mid-January. Mt. Yae, 453 m high, would get covered with a veil of pink, delighting the eyes of visitors. You can either walk or drive a car up the mountan full of cherry trees.
