The 27th Urasoe Cultural Festival

A full cultural festival whose scope of exhibits encompasses fine arts, photography, calligraphy, classical dance, and classical Ryukyuan theater called Kumiodori, among many others.

The Urasoe Cultural Festival is Urasoe City's biggest comprehensive cultural festival held every November, where members of the Urasoe Cultural Association present works resulting from their artistic/cultural activities. Under the theme "Conveying Culture, the Heart of Urasoe," the 4-day event showcases the works of members in various divisions of the association, including: fine arts, photography, calligraphy, flower arrangement, literature, torn paper collage, music, classical musical, Kumiodori, poetry, classical Japanese dance, drums, Taisho harp (Japanese harp) and tea.
