沖縄グローバルアンバサダーAwichさんからのメッセージ

一般財団法人沖縄観光コンベンションビューロー（OCVB）は、2024年6月10日により幅広く多くの方に沖縄観光の魅力を発信することを目的とした「沖縄グローバルアンバサダー」を任命いたしました。アンバサダーである沖縄出身アーティストAwichさんが2025年大阪・関西万博の開会式にて圧巻のパフォーマンスを披露し、力強いメッセージを届けました。
【Awichさんからのメッセージ】
このたび、大阪・関西万博の開会式という世界的な舞台に、沖縄のラッパーとして立たせていただけたことは、グローバルアンバサダーとしても大変光栄なことだと実感しています。
沖縄で生まれ育った自分にとって、「沖縄」という存在は、単なる故郷ではなく、歴史、痛み、祈り、そして希望の象徴です。
その魂を胸に、ラップという現代の表現と、和太鼓、そしてエイサーを融合し、調和のエネルギーを世界に届けることができたと感じています。
沖縄には、戦火を超え、文化を守り抜いてきた人々の強さと、どんな苦しみの中でも音楽を忘れない歌心があります。
これからも私は、そんな沖縄のスピリットを世界に届けたいです。
この万博での経験は、その新たな第一歩となりました。
改めて、すべてのご縁と支えてくださった皆さまに、心より感謝を込めて。
Being able to stand on the global stage of the Osaka-Kansai Expo opening ceremony as a rapper from Okinawa was a profoundly meaningful moment for me—as both an artist and a Global Ambassador.
To me, Okinawa is not just my hometown. It is a symbol of history, pain, prayer, and resilience.
Carrying that spirit in my heart, I was able to share a message of harmonious energy through a fusion of rap, traditional Japanese Wadaiko, and Okinawan Eisa.
Okinawa holds the strength of a people who have endured war and preserved their culture, along with a songful spirit that never forgets music—even in the face of suffering.
I will continue to carry that spirit forward and share it with the world.
This experience at the Expo marks the beginning of a new chapter.
To everyone who supported me and stood by my side—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
